WordPress fans, it’s time to toast to our love of this awesome blogging CMS on Tuesday, July 1, 2008. The Unofficial International WordPress Day is hosted by WPCandy, and it will be one whole day of showing how much people adore WordPress.

Philippine Blog Carnival reopens with the theme “Manila, My Manila”
A blog carnival is basically a round up of blog posts about an agreed-upon topic. The Philippine Blog Carnival is back with an edition on June 28 and the theme is “Manila, My Manila”.
Here’s the description of the latest Philippine Blog Carnival:
A digest of blog posts by Pinoy bloggers blogging about anything that captures their interest be it a city in the Philippines, Pilipino culture and being Pinoy, common experiences, the stories of Juan dela Cruz among others. A demonstration of the diversity and energy of the Pinoy blogging community.
The Four-eyed Journal and Filipina Soul are inviting you to participate in this upcoming blog carnival by submitting your posts here. Deadline is on June 27, 2008.

The Philippine Issues Writing Project
Filipino Voices is calling on Filipino bloggers and writers from all areas to join The Philippine Issues Writing Project. It’s a contest with exciting prizes, but more importantly, it’s a venue to voice out personal opinions and insights about the country’s situation.
This is about the issues that you feel need to be written about. Whether it is in the technology sector, our economy, social justice, politics, it’s all up to you, be thoughtful and creative.
There’s a maximum of 2 entries per person, which should have been written on or later than January 1, 2008.
