Filter out Filipina dating sites on advertisements, but the plot thickens

It’s a list of sites that you can filter out from your Google AdSense ads. And yes, it will be updated from time to time with new sites.
I think this is a great tip that all Pinoy bloggers should use. The problem is in having to manually search the web for such sites, recompile the list, and update the ad filters. Still, it’s better than not doing anything about it, especially as families, loved ones, friends, and colleages of Filipinas.
But the plot thickens! As I’m reading the blog post at Filipina Images, there are still new problematic ads that have popped up:

Filipina Images is an initiative that helps reshape how other other people view Philippine women online. All it takes is for you to register at the website and write a post with a Filipina-centric theme.
Chances are that the prominent entry you will find on the first page showcases the keywords, “Filipino girls, Filipina dating, Philippine women.” Search for “Filipina.” You’ll most likely notice that six out of 10 sites are NOT devoted to the advancement and accomplishments of the Filipina.
The Filipina of the Future deserves a more empowered, diverse image online. Multiple, complex, and whole.
The site is also holding a writing contest still about Filipinas (deadline is on March 15), together with WikiPilipinas. But if writing is really not your thing, there are other ways you can help with the campaign, notably by linking the word “Filipina” to more useful sites.
One great thing about WordPress is that it’s very search engine friendly, and since one of the main goals of this site is to change how Filipinas are being represented through web searches, Filipina Images is one step closer to that.
