Blog Action Day 2008 Philippines launched by Bloggers Kapihan
Blog Action Day 2008 is upon us, and since the topic for this year is one that’s closest to our Philippine hearts, Bloggers Kapihan is inviting everyone to participate in the discussion with Blog Action Day 2008 Philippines. The initiative has also been featured by the media.
Here’s what you can do on October 15 if you have a blog. If you don’t, you’re not left out either!
Bloggers Kapihan bloggers’ briefing on poll automation
Bloggers’ Kapihan is back with another relevant event every Filipino blogger should attend. The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) will give a special briefing on poll automation for roughly 20 bloggers on Saturday, July 19, at 1:00-3:00pm.
COMELEC and its technology suppliers will conduct actual trainings on the usage of electronic voting machines and automated counting machines. Video presentations and tutorials will also be shown. The voting machines will be used in the ARMM elections next month.

Attend Ed Panlilio’s blog launch in Pampanga

Now that Jun Lozada’s blog has been launched, it’s Among Ed Panlilio’s turn. This will be held on June 7, 10:00 am, at the Executive House, Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
Anybody can attend, but only 30 Manila-based bloggers will get to enjoy free food and transportation for the tour in the afternoon. Details can be found at the Bloggers’ Kapihan site.

ZTE scandal star witness Jun Lozada and Pampanga governor Fr. Ed Panlilio will be launching their very own blogs in two events led by the Bloggers’ Kapihan team.
Jun Lozada will launch his blog today, 1:00pm, at Kape Tasyo, 2nd Level Anonas Commercial Complex, Project 3, Quezon City. Expect good food, coffee, wi-fi, and conversations among participants.
Ed Panlilio’s blog launch will be held next week, June 7, in Pampanga. Thirty bloggers will join the BK crew there.
