Working with the team at Six Apart, we're glad to see people embracing this kind of openness, and I think, as much as we're happy to have made a WordPress plugin for our TypePad AntiSpam service, we're just as happy that the Movable Type plugin for WordPress stats came from our community, as well. We've tried to foster a culture where MT users see other platforms and try to learn from how they can benefit all bloggers, and the successes you've pointed out here illustrate that it seems to be working.
