Blogging about the Lozada Testimony and ZTE Broadband Scandal
“Ang salitang Pilipino ay tumutukoy sa isang bansa, ang bansang Pilipino. And sometimes, it’s worth taking a risk for this country.” - Jun Lozada
Controversies in Philippine current events almost always spill over to the Philippine Blogosphere because it’s a great way to hear from the many voices that would otherwise be drowned out by hype. This very moment, all eyes are on the brave witness in the ZTE broadband scandal, Rodolfo “Jun” Lozada. How have Pinoy bloggers covered the issue so far?
AWBHoldings.com has a short list of blogged reactions, including a link to Manuel L. Quezon III’s Twitter live tweets of the hearing.
Speaking of MLQ3, he has quite a number of lengthy blog posts himself, the latest being “The Witness”. Lots of links out too, including a plea from Lozada’s niece. It’s clear that aside from blogs running WordPress, Multiply will always be a goldmine Filipinos updating on their lives.
Then there’s the transcript of Lozada’s Exposé from Pedestrian Observer (also available at GMANews.TV).
Oh, and I found an awesome quote by Jun Lozada from Mary Ann Señir and an awesome caricature of Jun Lozada by Jed Segovia, both of which you can see at the top of this post.
This is just the beginning, so be sure to keep up with Jun Lozada and the ZTE Broadband Scandal (tools like Google Blog Search and Twitter are a big help).

Thanks for linking POGB in this article, this is definitely a good revelation coming from lozada. An insider in the corrupt world of trapoistic controlled bureaucracy surely is credible.
Bloggers indeed can be part of this events through vigilance and start digging on our own to spread the truth.

My comments,
I am not siding with anyone. What I am concerned of is who is really telling the truth. Are we sure that Lozade is telling the truth or just pushed by somebody who also wants to be the President. We voted for you people in the senate….except those who are true to their commitment many are just watching the every move of the govt. in particular the President… instead of helping to create a better Phil. and help uplift the condition of the Filipino people. Priests and sisters who are with Lozada… you are supposed to stand for the truth and never to side with anybody… what have you done…are you teaching the Filipino people or misleading them?????

It seems that Lozada suddenly becomes a hero. But look who’s talking? Those who goes to court must come in clean hands. People should realize that Lozada has gained so much from the government. So we should ask ourselves…Why did he come out? What is it for him? For a fixer like him, it’s not just a sudden change of heart. If all he’s saying is to be believed, what happens to the hearsay rule? And how come the media is so biased about it. Why don’t they dig into the real story! Why can’t they show the real lifestyle of Lozada? He is not the probisyanong instik that he is trying to portray. If it is, why does he have to compare out loud his attire to others? For all we know, it’s just his costume. Maybe he has thought about it all along. He did not just come out because he had a change of heart. Well…maybe, he even has a consultant who is really running the show.

I am really sick and tired of our government. Sometimes I am not proud of being a Filipino anymore, it makes me sick saying that the Philippines is a lovely country! The government should never advertise our country when they themselves are the CORRUPT EVIL BEINGS! Yes, most of our government officials and employees are corrupt! I know because I’ve done business with them, right now when you deal with the government of projects, they ask 22% share of the total price of the project. Of course, nandyan na ung share ng congressman, the dept. heads, and other govt officials. They don’t deserve to be called Filipinos! If there is only a law that a human can change their nationality, then i will never have second thoughts. What a culture! And then you are happy to pronounce to the whole the world that Filipinos are God-Fearing people?! What a JOKE! I’m proud that Jun Lozada has come to his senses that sooner or later his soul will be burned to hell. He realized his sins and his conscience wouldn’t let him go further. Good to have a Filipino who dares to tell the truth. After the change of government, sooner or later, he should be given a high position in the government (with the power of the Holy Spirit working within him) that would trace all corrupt officials and eradicate their likes. I have lost my trust in the government eversince, that’s why I never vote during elections!

Another Edsa Revolution??????? This is not the answer of our problem today. Only the Edsa 1 is the authentic one… the “masa” is already tired of demonstrating and only those who are known as powerful and most corrupt have benefited while the “masa” stays forever at the edge of the society. We are never united in our vision and mission of improving our dear country, Philippines.
Changing the President????? who will replace?????? Noli de Castro????….. for sure those behind the scene will again find means to unseat him so that at the end he or she will be the President…. Many are just using Lozada …. those behind the scene is more powerful than Lozada…. just like a snake waiting to attack its victim. -

You are right there Agnes…everyone Let me include “Lozada” has their personal interests…
The main problem in this country is discipline…and we never been united. In our history we didnt defeat Spanish bec. we are not united, i wonder when are we going to be unite as a country…think of how we can help our country. Many of us are so selfish! And too proud and thinks that “I am better than she/he is”. JDV??? they are now showing who they really are!!! It all started in this “they thought since GMA is very closed to JDV, they will get the big project”, obviously they didnt…and then they got sooo upset! and now showing what they can do.
Lozada? people, how sure u are he is telling the truth??? Only God knows…i wonder what’s this religiuos group doing to our country?
Noli de Castro to be the next pres.? hmmm…hahahaah!
There’s someone in my mind but i’m sure many of people will not agree…our MMDA chairman…bec. what we need is discipline. We nedd to have self-discipline to be able to have a better country. don’t just blame the government, each one of us has it’s own obligations as a citizen.

whoa! wait.. we are so confused!! what is the truth!? this is insane! No one can really tell.. as the matter of fact this this issue truly invaded our school activities.. you know,.what can we say about it and the government status.. well..im joining..but it’s really complicated to share my insights about it..what can i say..we..are having a hard time digging out the gold..who and what is really right..the people in charge supposed to be our role model right? and they supposed to be doing their duty as they enter and sit in their positions but look..they are just making things much worse.. the people are never theirs.. they the government is ours.. they should serve us and make a better constitution..

I BILIV IN JUN LOZADA ON CERTAIN POINTS BUT NOT ALL, OR 100%…MAYBE IN SOME SPECIFIC ISSUES LIKE THE POPULAR ” MODERATE UR GRID” OF NERI, BUT NOT ON THE KIDNAPPING ISSUE…NO-NO-NO!!! A BIG NO!!!, IT SOUNDS LIKE HE BLENDED TOO MANY COLORS ON THE WHOLE PICTURE, SO IT WOULD LOOK LIKE AN ART OF KIDNAPPING. AND B’COZ I CAN SEE SO MANY FLAWS IN HIS PERSONILITY AND HIS CARREER BACKGROUND TOO, HE’S ONCE A GREAT CORRUPT OF HIS COMPANY PLUS THE FACT THE HES ENTIRE FAMILY DOESNT TRUST PNP SIMPLY B’COZ OF HIS BROTHER’S DEATH…Y’KNOW, THE OLD PAIN IS SO DEEP-SEATED… THAT IT RUNS INTO HIS FAMILY’S CIRCULATORY SYSTEMS, WE COULDNT BLAME THEM ANYWAY. ONE CONCERN IS, JUN RIDES HIS POPULARITY AS IF HE IS HOLDING THE WHOLE PHILIPPINE MAP….he leads, he influences…he is now BEYOND EVERYTHING which was not really planned. W H Y JUN? ANY OTHER PLAN?

yes, JUN LOZADA has exposed an issue that is vital to against the president and with this, it made him so popular among the newspapers right now. whether he’s telling the truth or not, dont you think that it is not the only issue that should be discussed in the senate?how about the pending bills that some filipino’s are waiting to be imposed and things like that? i know that we want to know the truth, but that doesnt stop the world from turning around. we still have to work on our economy because the value of peso is constantly dropping, we also need to work on the terrorism problems we have in mindanao, and a whole bunch of nooks to be cleaned. i’m just saying it..

ok c lozada, i believe in him kc being in the gov’t office aware ako sa ethics and morality na dapat taglayin ng isang gov’t employee. minsan nga beyond na sa scope ng work mo ipapagawa pa syo lalo na at labag sa batas. aware din ako sa mga gawain ng mga superiors na corrupt. kaya nga saludo ako kay pareng lozada. keep up the good work bro.
